Subtotal results in new column and then sorting subtotals

1. Is there a way to do a subtotal and have the results appear in a new column

and

2. Is there a way to then sort on those subtotals (high to low)?

You could, use a pivottable or =SUMIF(color_range,="red",sum_range)
