subtract from vlookup?

Hi, I have a vlookup formula that is returning a time
value I need to subract (8)hours from. How do I do that?

=VLOOKUP(B52,C8:H14,6,FALSE)

somehow this question sound familiar?
Try
=VLOOKUP(B52,C8:H14,6,FALSE)-8/24
or
=VLOOKUP(B52,C8:H14,6,FALSE)-TIME(8,0,0)
