Sum of budget pr. month

Hi

I have a project where i have a colum with budget pr. task.
Ex.
Task Id 1 have budget $ 100 startdate 01.03.2006 enddate 04.03.2006
Task Id 2 have budget $ 200 startdate 15.03.2006 enddate 16.05.2006
Task Id 3 have budget $ 250 startdate 04.02.2006 enddage 05.02.2006

I need to have a report where i can see the budget pr. month.

Ex.

Februar 2006 Budget
Task Id 3 $250

Total $250

Marts 2006
Task id 1 $100
Task id 2 $200

Total $300

How do i do this ???

That is the Cash Flow report in the View, Reports, Costs menu. The default
report is on a weekly interval so select it in the Costs Reports section,
click the edit button, and change the reporting period from weeks to months
and you'll have it.

Note that the budget for a task is not a number that is usually user input.
The budget for a task is the projected cost of the task, a value that is
calculated by Project from the resource costs plus any fixed costs you have
supplied. For your example it appears that you may be entering a maximum
allowed expenditure per task in one of the user-defined fields. This is NOT
a budget in the proper sense of the word. Budgets are anticipated
expenditures, not distributions of available resources. If that's what
you've done, you'll need to either export the data to Excel and do the
summarizing there or resort to some VBA programming as the cash flow reports
and timephased data fields in Project don't include the user-defined fields.
