Sumif function

I'm new at using functions and I was wondering if someone
could help me. I have a worksheet where I want to use a
function that will sum only the cells that the text is
red. Would I use the sumif function. If yes, what do I
need to enter in the criteria to indicate that I only want
the red text calculated.
