SUMIF functions

Hi - how can I write a SUMIF formula using 2 conditions?

For example, if Column A is the months of the year and
Column B is employee names, is there a way of embedding an
AND logic function within SUMIF so that I can generate
values specifying one month and one employee?

Marisa, how about just subtracting the dates and format the cell as general?

Marisa, try something like this, will count how many times the month
September is in A and test is in B

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH(A1:A1000)=9)*(B1:B1000="test"))

No, SUMIF allows only one criterion. You might want to check out using a Pivot
Table for this. It would give you the totals for all employees for all months.
