Swedish letters Å, Ä and Ö -- cut-off umlauts

I very often have Word documents where the umlauts of the Swedish letters
Å, Ä and Ö are cut off (esp. for Ä). If you zoom to, for instance, 200 %,
the umlauts show. They print correctly. What could the reason for this
be, what might cause it, and what can be done about it? Regards, Hans L

Sometimes Word's display just cannot accurately represent what will print.
This will depend somewhat on your screen resolution (and of course the zoom
setting).

Hello Suzanne: thanks for your response. I am surprised that zoom should
have anything to do with it. Isn't zoom just an amplification of
"everything"? Now, listen to this, which I just discovered: I have one
paragraph that is 11 points, all upper case, and on one line,
the umlaut in Ä shows, while a few lines below, the umlaut for the Ä
there does not show. When I change to 10 or 12 points, all umlauts show. Do
you know what is going on? Hans L

Sorry, I forgot to say that I am running XP Home and Word 2000.

It is often the case that display at certain point sizes is better than at
others. You might also check to make sure that you don't have the line
spacing set to an exact amount. This will often result in truncation of the
display even though the text will print fully.
