Hello,

I have a G4 PowerMac OS 9.1 with Entourage 2001.

I would like to transfer all of my emails and address book from that
computer to a PowerBook OS Panther with Entourage 2004.

Would you all be so kind to offer any tips or guidance for getting past
emails and address book of one computer to the next?

Thank you.

Find the Office 2001 Identities folder on your Power Mac G4. It should be
located here:
HD:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Office 2001 Identities

Copy that folder in its entirety to your new PowerBook. Drag it to this
location:
/Users/<Your User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/

Then, launch Entourage 2004. The First Run Assistant should prompt you to
import data. If you have already run that assistant, go to File -> Import
to start the import process. Choose to "Import information from a program,"
click the "Next" button, and then choose "Microsoft Entourage 2001." Choose
to import all data. Your identity should appear in the next window; if it
does not, select the "Browse" button, and navigate to
/Users/<Your User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2001
Identities/<Your Identity>

Then, click the "Next" button to import your data. You might need the
Office 2001 CD inserted while this happens (I'm not sure). If it doesn't
work the first time, insert the Office 2001 CD and try the import process
again.

There is a Paul Berkowitz shareware script that will do this for you.
Its the easiest way. There are other ways but they are laborious and
time consuming. Will let others tell you how to use the "other" ways.
