Symbol Codes

I want to insert a field in a document that produces a circle. I have
previously created a field that produces a diamond using {SYMBOL \f Wingdings
117 \* MERGEFORMAT}. Can you tell me where I can find the number (ANSI code?)
to produce a circle instead of a diamond?

For an open circle, use {Symbol 153 \f "Wingdings 2"}. For a solid
circle, change the 153 to 152. The \* Mergeformat switch is optional.

Thanks, Jay. For future reference, can you tell me where I can find a list of
these symbol codes?

In the Insert > Symbol dialog. When you select the symbol you want,
the number code (or a shortcut key, if there is one) appears at the
bottom of the dialog. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm for more
details.

The hard part is scrolling through all the fonts until you find the
right character, which may or may not exist.
