Sync creates multiple copies of events on iPaq

I am using Entourage (11.0.0) on OSX (10.3.8) and am syncing to HP iPaq
6365 using Pocket mac (3.0).

Sync appears to be one way push, pushing copies of events (calander
and tasks) and contacts down to the iPaq. Every time I sync, a new
copy of all events and or contacts are pushed down to the iPaq.
Nothing is ever taken from the iPaq to Entourage.... So after three
"syncs", I will have three copies of each Event, Task and Contact
name...

I have set up preferences to sync, Pocket PC to Entourage, for
Contacts, TAsks and Calander, with Entourage "winning" should there be
any disputes.

Any ideas ?
