This is a first time query. As stated I am having trouble importing
data from Palm desktop 4.1 into MS entourage version 9.0 (2001). I
get an error message that says a certain file cannot be found. Has
anyone had a problem like this before. Help...
Palm Desktop 4.1 is for OS X, isn't it? It shouldn't work in OS 9 at all. If
you have OS X but are still using Entourage 2001 in Classic, you can't use
PD 4.1. You'd have to use the Classic version of Palm Desktop, in Classic -
PD 2.6.3. Except then I think the sync conduit may not work - I'm not sure :
I think that the Classic Palm background application may not function in OS
X. I've actually forgotten that bit. But I think you have two choices:
1) Boot into OS 9 when you want to sync. or
2) Upgrade to Entourage X.
P.S. When asking for help and reporting error messages, be precise. "A
certain file cannot be found" is not going provide many clues to anyone.
Write down the name of the file the next time you see the error.
