Hi

I have two computers for my use one portable and one in my office. I have a standard commercial copy of office 2008 and cannot get my day to sync between the two computers (I only use one at a time). I have a dot mac account and the email on both seems to sync okay, but not may day. I set up the entourage automatically and have set the sync services in the entourage preferences to sync.

Also can you use alias email accounts with entourage in the same way as dot mac (i.e a drop does menu to pick with email alias you want to send your email under).

Hope this makes sense any way to do this either with dot mac or without would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Rusty

Hi Rusty!

Only mail will sync with .Mac. Calendar items, Tasks, etc., are not
supported with IMAP.

You may be able to sync calendars if you have enabled syncing in
Entourage (Entourage --> Preferences... --> General Preferences --> Sync
Services) and enable .Mac syncing for calendars (Apple menu --> System
Preferences... --> .Mac --> Sync).

You will have to do this on both Macs to the same .Mac account.

Be very careful and methodical about doing this. With your data
traversing through two computers, two different sync services and
eventually through .Mac, you run the risk of items not syncing properly.

Start with your primary Mac and enable Entourage syncing. Verify your
events are syncing correctly by viewing iCal.

After that works then enable .Mac syncing. Verify your events are
syncing correctly by viewing your .Mac account online.

On your second Mac, enable .Mac syncing. Verify your events are syncing
correctly by viewing iCal.

Finally, enable Entourage syncing on your second Mac and allow iCal to
overwrite your Entourage data.

I haven't tried this myself but would imagine others are doing it.

Hope this helps!
