Sync net folder problem

K

Ken

I am sharing my calendar to my workmate with net folder.
My PC is Win XP and Office 2000 and my workmate's is Win
98 and also Office 2000. I always find that My calender
can't be updated from my workmate when I return office
after I've taken my notebook for a few days. Can't net
folder sync. data offline? Thx. your attention.

Net Folders uses e-mail messages to send updates between computers so
naturally you would have to be connected to your e-mail to get any updates.
When you leave the office and are not connected you won't get any updates
but as soon as you connect to your e-mail server you should get the updates
that have been sent by your workmate and your Outlook should send updates
it has to your workmate. If this is not happening then you may want to stop
sharing your calendar, clear it out and reset it up. To do this stop
sharing, remove the copy of the folder from the second machine and use
nfclean.exe on both computers and then setup the sharing again. Here is a
link to an article that is very good for troubleshooting Net Folders
issues, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;229962.

I hope this information is helpful.
