sync not sticking

I am set up with an exchange server. Almost everytime I disconnect my
laptop to go to a meeting, and then come back and plug in my machine
Entourage has to resync the past few months (note, not all) of email,
which takes over an hour. For some reason the email isn't sticking.
Any ideas?

Are you quitting Entourage before you disconnect your laptop from the
network? How are you connecting to your Exchange Server? Via the OWA
address or the name of your server itself?

Thanks for the reply I will try disconnecting before unplugging the
network. I am connected the to Exchange Server directly.
