Sync Services - Combine Information Tab

Where is it? It does not appear in preferences!!!!!

You don't see this choice until after you enable syncing for the first time.
Then you are asked how you want to treat your data (combine, use Entourage
and blow away ical/AddressBook, etc)

I must have selected the invisible "delete all calendar data from both
Entourage and iCal" because that's what happened to me.

Can you tell me what "combine information" really means.? does this
mean that both my Entourage calendar and address book info will ADD
to the data already in the iCal and Mac Address books? and duplicate
everything? Or is this the function that looks for differences
between the 2 and changes the most recent. i only make changes using
the Entourage calendar and address book.

i finally got the sync to work with my Palm from iCal and entourage
nicely updates iCal. But afraid to press any buttons on the address
book for fear of duplicating everything in the address book.

any help would be appreciated!
