Anyone had this problem?

Everyting I start Entourage 2004, the Sync Services are turned off. I
thought at first it only happened when I wasn't online, but I'ts every
time. When they are on - they work like a charm :)

A corrupted pref file maybe??
You can try to set aside the Entoruage pref file in your preferences
folder to let Entourage re-create it. It doesn't affect the settings for
the accounts, or rules, etc.... It's only the prefs displayed in the
Entourage Preference pane,.

Nope, didn't help. I trashed the Entourage Preferences,
com.microsoft.Entourage.prefs.plist and
com.microsoft.entourage.syncservices.plist. Same problem still. Wierd
- well anyhoo next Office release might cure it.... :)

Thanx anyway Corentin

Well I wouldn't know. I don't experience the problem on my Mac, so if
it's not a common problem, chances that the MacBU can identify it and
fix it are lower :-\

Could it be a Permission issue?? Did you try fixing them using
DiskUtility??
What version of MacOS X do you have?? Is everything up to date (Office
and the System)??

I seriously doubt that will help. There is a problem in your User's folder.
You can test this by creating a new User in System Preferences. Open
Entourage and test there. If it works, then you can move your Identity to
Shared so you can test your database there. When you drag from Shared to the
new User's Document Microsoft User Data folder it will copy the folder so
your data is safe.

If the Identity folder works in the new user then it definitely something in
your User's folder. If it doesn't't work with the Identity then it's your
database.
