sync

Hi,

Can anyone out there help me to easily sync. my messages and contacts
on one Mac with those on another in Entourage 2001?

At the moment I can do it but it's very laborious as I have to export
every message folder individually and then copy them over one by one
to the other mac and then import them. Surely there's an easier
way?!!!!

Many thanks,

Jon.

It might be easiest to see if you can switch to an IMAP account. With an
IMAP account, you access mail from the server, so you can always access your
server contents from any location without needing to synchronize. However,
that won't work for contacts.

Another option is Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage" script set,
which allows synchronization. Even if you choose to go with an IMAP account
for mail, this is the best method to keep contacts synchronized.

Otherwise, just copy the Microsoft User Data folder from one machine to the
other:
HD/Documents/Microsoft User Data/
to
HD/Documents/

Note that this only works if both machines are running the same version of
Entourage. Also, please remember that this will delete all existing
Entourage data on the other machine, so this method is best if you can
synchronize/copy data each time you switch machines.
