Synch--double entries

Each time I try to synch my G3 I get double entries on the
handheld. (conduits set for handheld overides MAC.) I have
installed all that the entourage page requires and Palm
Desktop for MAC v4.1. Additionnally I get an error
message stating that the installer v3.5.3 was not correct.
Can anyone help. i do not loose data.
