synching two computers

I have an IMac desktop and an IBook, and I would like to keep the mail in
synch between the two computers. I thought that I could avoid this problem
by selecting under Tools > Accounts > Options the choice to leave the mail
on the server when I log onto my POP account through Entourage using the
IBook. I found, however, that when I return home, the messages downloaded to
the IBook are no longer available to my IMac. So it appears that my only
solution is to synchronize the mail folders.
I don't have a clue as to how one could do this. I don't have IDisk, which
was suggested in another message.
Any suggestions?

It's a bit confusing which computer is downloading the mail so it's not
available for the other computer. I would set both to leave on server and
delete after xx days.

This method does not sync anything but your mail. If you want everything in
sync the best option is to get an IMAP account.
