Synchronise processes between Word and another program that uses OLE.

Hi,

I'm programming in a NON Microsoft program that does support OLE. Now I can
create macros on the fly and start these macros in Word from this program.
But I have a problem with the syncronisation of the two. Word takes its time
for some processes and I can't detect how long this last or detect when Word
is ready. Is there a kind of thread or event stack that I can monitor?

Does sombody know a solution?

Regards,

Marcel

The only thing I can think of is to have the Word macro set a flag of some
sort at the end of the macro which you can periodically check. For instance,
create a small text file on completion ofthe task.
