synchronization

I recently upgraded to Office 2004 and have now switched to Entourage
which connects to an Exchange server. I love the fact that it now
accesses my calendar, but I am really frustrated with the annoying
synchronization message that appears on my desktop. Is there a way to
disable the message without affecting synchronizing.

If you mean the small purple box at the bottom right of the screen, you can
turn it off in Entourage's Prefs:Notifications.

NO, I MEAN A MESSAGE THAT APPEARS IN THE UPPER LEFT OF THE SCREEN THAT
SAYS A SYNCHRONIZATION IS UNDERWAY. IT OCCURS MUCH TOO FREQUENTLY AND
IS REALLY ANNOYING BECAUSE IT FREEZES THE ENTIRE COMPUTER FOR A FEW
SECONDS. I CAN LIVE WITH THE UPDATING, BUT I REALLY WANT THAT MESSAGE
TO DISAPPEAR.

No need to SHOUT. I still have no idea what you mean. Does the window say
"Progress"? If so, close it. It won't come back up unless you manually bring
it up or manually connect.

Sorry, did not mean to be so loud (I was typeing on my PC and it is
less genteel than my Mac). Yes, I mean the Progress message. I have
tried closing the message, but it continues to reappear. I have also
tried "Command 7" but nothing happens there either. I really
appreciate your help.

We are testing Office 2004 and we running into the same issue as you , but
not on all workstations . We are in the process of narrowing it down. Will
keep you posted.

Did you find a solution for this Sync notification. We
would like to turn this off also, but can not find a way
to do so.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can't you simply close it? That's what I do and it never comes up again for
me.
