Syncing email database between 2 macs

I am trying to sync my email acounts etween my desktop and portable.

the new update does not address this. I tried using Sync but it will
not merge the user database because the "Microsoft Database Daemon"
remains open. One can quit it but it always reopens and it is
required for Entourage to function.

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

This is not a feature of the update.

Because Entourage stores the info in a database you cannot sync one
database with another without rewriting the entire database.

Sorry, no.

Will Entourage ever have a way to sync between my laptop and desktop?
In a world where many of us have both, this is one feature that I am
sure would be very welcomed. Not having this option is probably one of
the most disappointing features about Entourage.

The best solution is to set up your email via IMAP (mac.com or fastmail.fm)
or via IMAP or an Exchange client at work.

The "consumer" simple solution is .mac, accessing the mail via an IMAP
connection, and then telling .mac to sync contacts and calendars (10.4 only)
Just go to mac.com and read the promotional material.

The computers won't sync unless they are connected to the internet, and the
sync will take a few moments to take effect depending on your connection
speed.

I keep my Microsoft User Data folder on an external pocket firewire
drive (a large capacity USB thumbdrive will suffice if both machines
have USB 2.0) and just keep aliases to it in my Documents folder of all
the machines I use Entourage on (laptop, desktop and occasionally other
machines I sit down in front of for a few hours). Works like a charm
and gives me an identical environment on every machine.
