I have a custom filemaker pro 6 contact database that a friend
constructed for me that has about 6 categories of info unique to it. Is
there a way to blend these contacts and these categories of info into
the entourage address book.

Export (File->Export Contacts) a few contacts to see the format then
export the contacts data from your FileMaker DB in the same (or similar)
format, and import the result into Entourage (File-Import).

....with the proviso that File/Import in Entourage does not import
categories. If there is in fact a Categories field exported from FMP, assign
it to one of Entourage's Custom Fields during the File/Import setup
(wizard). Then use my script "Apply Categories to Contacts X" in
Export-Import X scripts from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

The script package is "freeware" (i.e. not free), but if this is the only
script you need, write to me at the email address at the end of the ReadMe
and I'll send you a copy of it that doesn't need a registration code.
