Syncing Entourage with Palm

I'm interested in trying Office 2004 with OS X Panther. How well does
entourage integrate with the Palm (Treo) devices?

You can easily synchronize calendar events, contacts, tasks, and notes in
Entourage with your Palm handheld using the free Handheld Synchronization
software (/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/). It isn't
changed much from the previous versions. Here is the documentation from the
version from Entourage X, which is virtually the same (except for the
location of the installer):

Note that the free Office Test Drive available at the Microsoft web site
does not include the Handheld Synchronization software.

Entourage 2004 syncs very nicely with Panther.

My only beef is that the calendar categories in the new Palm 5 software
(found in most Treos, Zire and Tungsten models) don't sync at all, so you
have to manually tag them each time. But this is a common problem and
happens in Now Up-to-Date and Chronos Organizer as well. I was using
DateBook 5 on the Palm because it solved that problem in the other calendar
apps, but it isn't compatible with Entourage so until they update it there
is no syncing of calendar categories.

Contact categories sync fine, and Entourage has a nice feature that lets you
sync using Company name and Last name as a sorting order, which works quite
well for meeting Palm's frustratingly limited sorting capabilities.
