Syncing problems after many years without a problem

I do read many suggestions on this excellent forum. I currently have a
problem where the sync conduit crashes as soon as it gets to 'memo' section.
No explanation. I have done a rebuild but it has made no difference. I even
tried entourage to override the handheld.

Any tips that I might have missed would be most appreciated

1) Is there any chance that the crash is happening at the tail end of
Datebook? Check all Entourage recurring events (make a custom view) to see
if any have no end occurrence. (e.g. Birthdays). If so, give them a final
occurrence (you can always extend it later).

2) Did you do an Advanced Rebuild? Do it.

3) Then, before doing an Entourage Overwrites Handheld, remove Entourage
Storage file from

/Users/[username/Documents/Palm/Users/[username]/Entourage Data/

folder.




If none of these work (but I'm pretty sure they will), you'll have to do a
hard reset on the Palm, then try again.

I have used Entourage OSX for two years and am pretty savvy about everyday
use etc. I have tried EVERYTHING that you suggested but the conduit always
crashes at the end of addresses as it starts to sync memos. This only
started a few days ago. Could there be a fault with the Palm? It is a M505
and has worked well for a long time but I have always had a 'phantom'
category that I have never been able to get rid of. Also my Powerbook G4 has
only around 900mb left of memory and the Palm is running near its capacity.
Could that be a factor? I am soon to purchase new Powerbook G4 and Palm
Tungsten W. Might that be a solution?!!
