Syncing two Entourage X's

M

Mark Harrison

This newsgroup is great by the way!!

I use Entourage X at home and at work. I leave messages on that I want at
both but then take them off when I get to the other. The messages I send are
only on the computer I send them from unless I bcc to self and leave til
next location but whatever.

Net-Net

How do I sync two Entourage¹s so they are the same, even if it is a very
manual process I am willing to do it periodically if necessary.

Even a total Dupe (I hope not) would be a place to start.

Thanks for the help.

Your best bet is to see if your email provider offers IMAP. An IMAP server
stores your messages on the server, so you're always accessing the same
contents regardless of location. You can archive messages onto your
computers from the server as needed.

More information about IMAP accounts and Entourage can be found at

Some background info:

Because Entourage stores the info in a database you cannot sync one database
with another without rewriting the entire database.

See the Sync page for other options:

Note: you will find that IMAP is the way to go.
