I am running Office XP Professional on Windows XP Professional with SP2
installed on host PC. On second PC I have Office 2000 Standard on Windows
XP Home. PC's are sharing a dial up 56k Internet connection thru ICS
connected with 10/100 Ethernet and plugged into Linkseys (4year old) hub.

When I start Excel, Power Point or Access and then go to start System Info
from the help menu, it says that Excel is not started or Power Point is not
started--Outlook seems to be OK and info is displayed.

Should I run Office repair and if so, how do I do it? Should I select the
reinstall all components? Not sure how to proceed--seems like something is
just not being recognized properly.

.
1: To answer your question, Choose Detect & Repair from
the Help drop down menu of any Office program, i.e.,
Excel. Have your CD ready. Once completed open Power
Point and repeat the Detect & Repair.
2: If this doesn't solve the problem. I suggest that you
download, install, update, and scan with Ad-aware:
