System taskbar

Normally when I use Outlook 2003 an icon ios put on the system task bar
which is removed automatically when I exit Outlook. Now the icon persists
but disappears when I "hover" over it. Everything appears to be working well
& I have the latest XP home & Office2003. Can I correct this? John Spivey
