Table formatting problem in W2007

Old word products had an easy way to set a doc to a form for preprinted docs
such as business cards. All I can find in W07 is an annoying link to
predefined templates that aren't blank and aren't for A4.

I took my existing doc and changed the table to height 5.5 cm and width
8.5cm. The width seems to be ok, but the table cell heights still are around
6 cm, even though W07 claims they're 5.5. How do I get it to work properly?

Among the label choices in Word 2007 are many generic ones (with "Microsoft"
as the vendor) that are specifically for setting up such oft-requested
layouts as 1/2 Letter (Portrait and Landscape), 1/4 Letter (ditto), Business
Card, Index Card, Gift Certificate (three per page in portrait or
landscape), etc.

No, not really. I forgot to mention, during my frustration, that the standard
"european business card" from the labels options is where I first had
problems with the table height. It claimed it was 5.5 but wasn't, and when I
tried to adjust it, as mentioned below, it failed to change.

I eventually solved the problem by creating a new doc, creating a fresh
table to my specs in the doc, and they c&p the content from an old bcard doc
to the new one.
