Table Processing

B

Bo Hansson

I'm filling a table by using range objects and have experienced that the
process differ from time to time.
In some cases the table is filled quickly WITHOUT updating the screen.
In other cases the table is filled slowly while the screen IS updated.
I have also seen the fill process start while screen is updated, and then
proceed without updating the screen.

NB - the strange thing is that I have NOT used "Application.ScreenUpdating"
in my code.

I believe that the fill behaviour shifts when I edit the table properties.
Are there any hidden table properties that I may effect without knowing it?

Word tables are complicated and mysterious beasts. If you've got a lot of
tables to fill (from VBA), it is often *much* quicker to insert plain text
with tabs, then use the convert text to tables function.
