table shading

T

Toody

I would like to use colors in the background of my tables and cells. However,
Word 2000 doesn't seem to have many colors, and my computer resolution isn't
very high, thereby decreasing the amount of colors available to me.
(Approximately 8 of the colors, although labeled as some form of green,
yellow or blue, all appear as black in color.)

The colors usually do print nicely, but they look terrible and harsh in an
e-newsletter.

Can you add colors to the shading tab in tables? If so, how? Any help would
be appreciated.

i would think this is a graphics issue and not a Word
issue. If your graphics card isn't good enough to show
more colors then there's nothing you can do in Word. Can
you see pictures in full color elsewhere (outside of
Word, like on webpages)? If you can't then it IS a
graphics card issue

Why have you set your graphics resolution so low that this is a problem?
Either replace the graphics card or reset its resolution more appropriately.
