Tasks for today not forever?

It seems that ALL outstanding Tasks appear in the Task pane of Calendar
view. Surely it should just show the tasks due on that particular day?
(I've only entered a few at the moment just to test it out)
Have I missed something?
Thanks

Nope. Huge numbers of people did not like that behaviour in Entourage 2001 -
they wanted to see all incomplete tasks, or at least more than today's and
tomorrow's. So it was changed for X and 2004. Now some people (but fewer)
don't like the current behaviour.

Relief is near at hand. ;-) Some longtime denizens of this newsgroup will
have seen mutterings of mine stretching back at least 18 months, that I was
(supposedly) working on an add-on application to be called "Entourage Today"
which will do what "Outlook Today" does in allowing you to configure
anywhere from 1 to 7 days' worth of upcoming calendar events and tasks (and
also unread messages in selected folders, if anyone wants those, which I'm
inclined to doubt) all in one window, also configurable. Except it's better,
because it incorporates standard Mac and Entourage behavior of instant
re-sorting by column and column direction. Tasks can even be sub-sorted, for
each main sort choice, via prefs (if sorting by due date, sort next by
priority or name, and every vice versa).

Well, it's really happening at last. It should be ready within a few weeks,
I think, although I still have one major prefs feature, a user guide, and
the Help still left to do. Watch this space...

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - **2004**, X
or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.
