Tasks into Events - trying again

After I updated to Entourage 11.2.1, I lost the ability to drag a task
onto the calendar and create an event out of it. Now I have to copy
paste all my data from a task window into a new calendar event. Very
time consuming - seems unnecessary. Does anybody know what's wrong with

this version? Is there any way to fix it? I tried updating to 11.2.3.
It doesn't help. Is there a setting that toggles this function on and
off?

Unfortunately, that function is now broken. Seems fundamental, doesn't
it?
It would be nice if MS actually tested their products before release. I
feel like a beta tester myself.

FYI, the MacBU has a HUGE test lab, with nearly every model of Mac ever
made, running tests on the Office programs day and night. Plus a bunch of
honest-to-God human testers (a full-time job with MacBU for a number of
people). On top of that there is a serious beta testing program with a large
number of non-Microsoft users testing the products. I really don't think
anyone ELSE does such a serious job of software testing!

But, with any set of programs so feature-rich, it is simply impossible to
think of and test every possible action. So, now and then, some things get
broken and nobody notices until the millions of users jump on the product
and do their thing.
