tasks show up everyday

does anyone else have this problem????? setting a task whether Once
Only or Recurring shows up every single day on the task pad....even all
days preceeding. the task pad is worthless and you have to configure a
view to see what your schedule is for any specific day. Is this a
glitch or does Microsoft think it is ok to have to look at my entire
scheduled task database of about 420 items everyday on my taskpad????

By "taskpad" I think you must mean the task panel IN THE CALENDAR view, yes?
Not the Tasks List. I think it's intended for people who have fewer tasks
than you do. Entourage 2001 showed only today's and tomorrow's tasks, and
lots of people complained (more than complain now about the present method).
So they changed it in X.

You might want to try out my Entourage Today application, from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It puts current tasks and calendar events into the same window (unread
messages too, if you wish). You can set the number of days to look at to
just today's or anything up to 7 days ahead. It's sort of based on Outlook
Today from Outlook Windows, but with a Mac interface. You can try it out for
14 days.

It is an add-on application, separate from Entourage, although it's designed
to look like "just another Entourage window". It does not contain a
Month-view calendar. It has regular list-type tables (like a message list or
the tasks list) but with a Calendar Events list and Tasks list in the same
window. You can see for yourself by trying it out, from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It's free for 14 days.
