Temporary Freezing Entourage

I have the G4 powerbook 1.5ghz and I even shelled out for the faster hard
drive. Yet, I find entourage freezing on me for 30-60 seconds at a time. I
don't jump the gun and reset or force quit, but wait and it comes back to
working in that time frame.
It usually happens when I switch from email to calendar or notes (basically
when I switch modes within entourage).
What is causing this? Are there any fixes?
Is it b/c I have too many emails saved in entourage?

I am experiencing the same problem with the same platform parameters. I
thought that it was something that I was doing wrong.

Me, too. Seems like it only started happening in the last couple weeks. I
haven't noticed any pattern, though it does seem to happen when I'm doing
things quickly.

Hi!

Do you use any AV software? I had Norton AV installed and had problems like
that - Entourage freezing infrequently. Actually had a few kernel panics as
well until I de-installed. Using Intego now which doesn't cause problems.

Try checking the /var/log/system.log for possible errors.
