test animation

Probably a simple question (but not for me).
When I make a presentation with custom animations I want to test wheter it
works the way I want it to (because probably it won't). When I hit F5 it
always goes back to the first slide and I have to browse to my 75 boring
slides. A long time ago it was different with older versions. Is this a
matter of settings? Which ones?
I have MS PP 2002 SP3

Thanks in advance.

Pww,
Press shift+F5 and the presentation will start with you current slide.
Press F5 and the presentation will start with the first slide.
Click on the third tiny icon in the most left corner of your screen and the
presentation will start with the current slide.

Hi,

It may be better to hit the little slideshow button on the bottom left hand
side of your screen. It will start from the current slide displayed. Else,
you can hit F5, then the number of the slide you want to go to and <Enter>
will take you there.

Luc and Glen,
Thanks.
Only clicking the icon works for me. SHift F5 does not and neither F5
followed by a number. Does that suggest that something is wrong with my
program? (Auto recovery does not work either,as I happen to discover 15 mins
ago.: :) {). But my problem's solved.

Pww,
Your absolutely right, shift+f5 only works in PPT 2003 and not in PPT2002
Glenn's method should work though, hit F5 type the number of the slide and
hit enter.

Thanks again, as you probably guessed, I stupidly forgot to hit enter after
the number..
