Text in calendar invisible

I have a recurring appointment scheduled in outlook (and sync'd w/ Palm)
the block shows on the calendar, but the text of the appointment doesn't.
It's there, because when you mouse over it, or double click the session the
box opens properly, but the text doesnt show. Can anyone help?
