Text Missing in edit mode, but present in preview & presentation

I am using a Truetype font in my slide masters. Sometimes when I open my
files (ppts & pots) I cannot see the font in the normal mode, but it is
visible in the slide preview, and the presentation mode. The problem is
intermittent, but if I open and close files often enough it will eventually
happen.
When I go to the edit master, I can find the text box containing the problem
text, but it is empty. I have tried saving wilh fonts embedded (all
characters). It doesn't help. This problem did not exist prior to upgrading
to Office 2003. We have multiple users of O2003 experiencing the same issue.


Any hints? Thx

Have you installed SP-1 for Office 2003? You can do so by going to
Help/Check for Updates.

I think it will resolve this issue.

Okay, then next I'd try changing hardware acceleration
