Hi,

When composing a new message(rich text format or plain text) why is it that
the alignment of text that looks ok in notepad if I paste it on outlook will
not look the same columns are not align in outlook while if you view it on
notepad everything looks just fine?

Thank you in advance.

This is because of the width of the font you are using. Some fonts are wider
then others.

Note that I removed some newsgroups addressed by this message to avoid
unneeded floading of those newsgroups.

A plain text message should look pretty much the same, although you may see
differences because of different tab stops (built-in in both cases). A
rich-text message, though, probably is using proportional fonts and almost
certainly will not look the same as the same text in Notepad.

The best solution for a message with columns probably is to use HTML and a
table. Alternatively, use plain text, but spaces, not tabs, for spacing
between columns.
