The Database could not be rebuild

G

Gus

I'm trying the typical rebuild of database after issued problems with the
delete folder.
But i recive this message: "The Database could not be rebuild because there
is not enough room on the disk to create the new database files."
It so strange because I have 30 GB of free space on the disk.
Could anyone help me please?
Thanks

Hi,

Please check whether you have multiple partitions? If so then check the size
of the master partition
i.e the partition on which the OS resides.

Also Check for the disk permissions through Disk utility by booting from the
operating system CD.

If it still doesn't work then try creating a new user on the system and copy
the complete Microsoft User Data folder on to the new user and try
rebuilding the Database.

( Since you have not mentioned which version of Entourage you have, I am
suggesting you to move the complete Microsoft User data folder onto the new
user and try rebuilding)

The path to find the Microsoft user data folder would be
<Harddisk>/Users/Home folder ( User's folder)/Documents/Microsoft User Data

Note: While copying the Microsoft User Data folder make it point that you
copy the folder onto the same location in your New User account.
