the decimal point on the numeric keypad

I am running quickbooks and the period used for dollars
and cents now adds a .+
I used to be able to add a string of numbers and it won't
let me because it thinks I'm using 2 decimal points. Any
ideas how to reconfigure this?

Maybe its time to spend $11.00 and buy a new keyboard.
