There is a wide variety of problems that cause this error
to pop up, but the most common one is that the PST that
you are using has reached its 2Gb limit.
In order to move messages out of a full PST, you will
need to do the following. (Note that the registry key
provided here will work only in Outlook XP. For other
versions of Outlook, replace "10.0"
with "9.0", "8.0", "11.0" or whatever the Outlook version
may be.)
1. Make a backup of your PST!! **Of utmost importance**
2. Set this regkey
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0
\Outlook\PST] MaxFileSize = 0x7C004400
3. Start Outlook
4. Move the messages out of the PST
5. Remove the regkey created in step #2
Please note that Outlook 2003 has a new PST file format
that holds up to a theoretical 43 Terrabytes of data, so
this should no longer be an issue with the new format.
Hope this helps!
