When I open Entourage 2004 I get the Error message:

The Preferences file cannot be opened an unknown error occurred (
-5000)".

I already tried to trash the Perfs files (all plist....). I also Ran
Cocktail and Disk Warrior. Rebuilded the database,... Nothing works.
message comes back.

However, Entourage works OK.

any suggestion to ge rid of that message?
