The @ sign does not work

Hi there,
I have outlook v. 2002 on my computer. When I type an a e-
mail address in the to field the @ sign work fine.
However when I go into contacts and f.e. add a new one I
cannot type in the @ sign and whe I trie the computer
just sound an error sound. This happened after I imported
me contacts from another outlook program on desktop.

Any help appriciated.
