Hi

There's a funtion "Save As HTML" at Project 2003, But I can't find it at
Project 2007
Does anyone know where it is?

File/Save As Web Page although I would suggest that that nomenclature is
not a very accurate description of what it actually does - it does
give you a visual representation of various elements of your plan in an
HTML file if that is what you want.

Hi swchung,

The "Save as web page" command is no longer in Project 2007. From help:
----------------------------------------------
Microsoft Office Project 2007 does not support the ability to save a
project file as a Web page. Instead, you can save a project as a more
flexible XM file XML is a format for delivering rich, structured data
from an application in a standard, consistent way. XML describes the
content of a document, whereas HTML tags describe how the document
looks.. This enables you to apply any style sheet to the XML file.
-----------------------------------------------------

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie

I am sorry that we can't convert .mpp to HTML.
Microsoft recommend us to convert to XML instead of HTML, which is they
think more effective way, but common users are not used to XML.

As you already know,
We used to convert to HTML not because we really wanted to have html format
report but because we couldn't get hierarchy of WBS when we exported .mpp to
..xls ... converting task field to HTML first and copy and paste it into
EXCEL..

Common user considers VBA hard to use..
Copying outline code to .xls and fixing hierarchy is still cumbersome.

I hope we can get it back next version.. or can export into .xls WITH
hierarchy

anyway..
thank you for answering and want to give you special regards if you are the
one who I met in MVP global summit seattle..

Hi Seung,

I'm sorry -- I didn't realize it was you! Great to see you here and it
was wonderful meeting you in Seattle in May.

I hope you'll drop by the mvp newsgroup and say "hi". I'm sure your
comments would be the start of a great conversation!
