I've not had any reason to install Entourage on this 'ere MBP, but I'm increasingly finding that I require a client with more flexibility and features over and above those offered by the standard Mail.app.
So I installed it this afternoon and have just attempted to fire it up. However, as soon as I do so, I receive the error detailed in the subject (sometimes with a prompt to send a report to Apple, sometimes not).
Is 2004 not compatible with x86-based machines? The reason I say this is that I have had it installed on a 4G5 (currently at the local AASP awaiting a new logic board and HDD) where it was unproblematic. The only other Office app I have any use for is Word, and that runs without problem.
Unfortunately, I'm extremely strapped for cash at the moment, so upgrading to 2008 isn't an option.
I have removed the entire suite (though I only have Word and Entourage installed - I have no use for PowerPoint and Excel) and reinstalled, but the error persists.
I will admit that I've not searched to see if others have experienced the same issue, so it may be that it's a very common one.
Could some kind soul give me a hard shove in the direction of a solution?
Cheers folks!
Bella
