Who told you that? It's up to your ISP to determine whether or not you can
use Outlook - and even then there are things that can often be done.

G

garfield-n-odie

Free email accounts from Netzero and Yahoo (and maybe others) can
only be accessed through Netzero's or Yahoo's web interfaces, but
Netzero and Yahoo offer fee-for-service accounts that can be
accessed through external email programs such as Outlook.

J

JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP]

But you can't use Outlook for it for free any longer.

Are you serious? If you want a free email account then sign up with Hotmail.

J

JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP]

The OP seems to think that because he paid for Outlook, he should get free
email. Seems he doesn't understand the purpose of his ISP.

Eric

Your ISP can sort this out.. you pay them the money to connect to the net in
the first place, and they give you five free accounts.. then you learn how
to set up mail accounts in Outlook..

P

Peter Foldes

I was just pointing out to the OP that free is free.<s>

What nerve! I suppose the next step is they won't pay for the oil either.

E

well it depends, if your unemployed currently, you dont have a email account
that is paid for by the company

Eric

What has being unemployed to do with having no e-mail account other than
maybe being unable to pay for the basic ISP service?

Next question.. why do you think that we all have e-mail accounts paid for
by a company?

There's more.. why do you believe that Outlook is an e-mail service, and not
just an e-mail client/personal organiser?.. I think I may have guessed the
answer to this one..

I would suggest that you contact your ISP for instructions on how to make
use of the five free e-mail accounts that your ISP has reserved for you..

J

JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP]

Sure. AOL will give you seven (I think). My ISP (local cable company) will
give me up to five accounts.

Have you ever asked your ISP what they offer?

M

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

Just get a gmail account - they are free and will allow you to connect using
Outlook.

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, eric2wan asked:

| well, say, thanks. does ever ISP give you fice reserved email
| accounts?
