Thought I had FP2002 sussed until...........

HI Guys, hope that someone can help me out of this hole
I'm in.

Basically I'm about 20% through creating my new online
store. So I created a home page and several more pages
within the site to see what the end result would look
like. I tested all the pages at home and the links, and
everything was spot on (until)....

I opened up the website from a PC at work (showing it off
to my work mates) and to my horror all the different
tables and text boxes had swelled and in some cases
overlapped each other.

(http://irmschercity.tripod.com/home.htm) = Test.

After much playing around with the PC I eventually found
out that it was the text size that had been increased
using display properties (right click on desktop,
settings, advanced, DPI settings) to large font.

I know that I can override this feature somehow as when I
went on other web sites (such as BBC, Dixon's etc..)
there fonts were fine.

I haven't created my site using themes, could this be the
problem ? I'm completely stuck and have tried every piece
of on line help but to be honest I don't really know what
I'm looking for !

I can't carry on with developing the site until I fix
this bug so any help (no matter how small) will be much
appreciated.

Cheers !

Paul.

You can set a fixed font using CSS. ( styles or style sheet )
Also set fixed table sizes by using fixed widths
expressed in pixels instead of percentages %.

Cheers Steve.
I'll have to read up on styles, never used them before.
Does this mean starting from scratch ?

Please be gentle and try to say no

You don't have to start from scratch.
You can add the styles to the pages
by placing them between <style></style>
tags between the head tags, or in an external style sheet.
name.css and applying the sheet by adding this between
the head tags.
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="name.css">

Note name.css can be anything you want, ie mystyle.css
External style sheets are created using notepad.

The best way is an external sheet applied across the web.
that way, change one sheet to change a style and it
automatically applies to the entire web.
