Threaded messages

I'm running OS X 10.2.8 with Entourage 10.1.1.

When I'm responding to a newsgroup message why doesn't the whole thread
appear in the reply to newsgroup window. If I want it to appear I need to go
to the original window, highlight all the text and then click on the reply
to newsgroup icon. I know it has something to do with the double dash but is
there a setting I can change to make everything come into the new window?

You have discovered the only workaround to the feature involving the
omission of text below the "-- " in replies. Usually that's good because
text from the message you're directly replying to will appear, omitting some
text and signatures from previous messages.

Perhaps this should be made an optional behavior. You can submit that
suggestion to Microsoft. In Entourage X, go to Help -> Send Feedback on
Entourage. Otherwise, click on this direct link to enter Mac Product
