tie info to names across spreadsheets

How does one permanently tie information to a name placed
in different positions on various spreadsheets to another
spreadsheet report?
I have a report that lists 50 to 75 names of movie
production drivers and equipment and vehicles each one
works with on a daily spreadsheet that calculates their
salaries from "in" and "out" times as well as the cost of
equipment, and other things.
At the end of the work week i insert a worksheet that
lists the names of the same drivers with only their "in"
and "out" times from the previous week. The position of
the driver may change to a different row every day leading
up to the end of the week report.
Can I tie the "in and out" times permanently to the names
so that the end of the week report is less time consuming
to generate than going back over each daily report and
plugging in, ='9-27'!D46 for the "in" time and ='9-27'!E46
for the "out" time for each day for each name?
sorry for the lengthy question. any help is most
appreciated.
