time calculation

I have several spreadsheets that time is entered in a format of h:mm
i.e.1:05 or 0:30 and each spreadsheet then calculates total time for that
spreadsheet. My problem is that I have another spreadsheet that has cells
linked to the other spreadsheet totals but when I try to calculate those
totals I keep getting an incorrect total. How can I correct this? Thank you
in advance.

Hi Carl!

Are all the time formats - h:mm - the same?

Are the totals exceeding 24 hrs? If so, change the format
to - [h]:mm

This prevents hours over 24 from rolling over into days.

What's the formula that you're using?

Not much to go on but I'd check that format first.
